Operating Systems Supported by Fishbowl

Fishbowl’s desktop server and client can run on the big three types of operating systems:
  • The Fishbowl Server and Client can run on three main operating systems, Fishbowl BlogWindows
  • iOS
  • Linux
Of course, that is a little broad because there are many versions of the Windows and iOS operating systems that have been released over the years. For example, you probably wouldn’t expect Fishbowl to run perfectly on Windows 3.0 because it is nearly 30 years old at this point. It can be safely assumed that old operating systems aren’t compatible with new software. With that in mind, let’s go through the many operating system versions that Fishbowl’s server and client are completely compatible with right now:
  • Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise
  • Windows 8 Pro
  • Windows 7
  • Windows Server 2016 Standard/Enterprise
  • Windows Server 2012 Standard/Enterprise
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise
  • Mac OS X 10.7.3 or newer

That’s because it’s a bit of an exception to the rule. If you’d like to learn more about what that means and how to install Fishbowl on a Linux device, check out the Fishbowl for Linux article on Fishbowl’s Documentation Wiki.
