The 9th Annual Fishbowl Day of Service Will Be a Real Beauty

July 24, 2017
Fishbowl logo, Fishbowl BlogFishbowl loves to serve! Every year the company takes one day off from its normal business operations to have its employees leave the office and go out into the community to serve those in need. We call it the Fishbowl Day of Service. The 9th annual Fishbowl Day of Service will be held on September 1, 2017, and it will focus on helping the UTAH GIRLS LOVE YOU (UGLY) organization. The “UGLY” organization has a boutique shop in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where they accept donations and use them to offer clothes and other supplies to single fathers and mothers in need. The service project will include the following tasks:
  • Sorting through a couple of trailers full of donated items
  • Window cleaning
  • Yardwork and weeding around the facility
Basically, we’ll make the outside of UGLY more beautiful and do what we do best: organize their inventory! Here’s a list of the Fishbowl Day of Service events we’ve done over the years. This list is becoming quite enormous. I’ve personally participated in all but the very first one in 2009, and each one has been an amazing experience: 2016 – Theater in the Pines 2015 – Cascade Springs 2014 – Central Utah Veterans Home 2013 – Lehi High School 2012 – Barnett Elementary School 2011 – Mountainland Head Start 2010 – Provo House of Hope 2009 – Cherry Creek Elementary School So on September 1, Fishbowl employees will be outside making a difference doing a different type of service than they usually do. And you can bet we’ll be back afterward to keep providing the #1 business automation platform for QuickBooks.
