Happy Thanksgiving

November 23, 2016
Thanksgiving is upon us yet again, and this year I am particularly thankful for the decisions made by a handful of people 15 years ago. Back in 2001, a group of software developers came together and began working on what would turn into Fishbowl. If you haven’t read my previous blog post about Fishbowl’s 15th anniversary, feel free to check it out. Happy thanksgiving, Fishbowl BlogTheir courage and commitment, along with that of David K. Williams (who became the CEO of Fishbowl in 2004), inspire me to work harder and be better. They built a business from nothing, and it continues to get better year after year. It’s been more than six years since I first came to Fishbowl as a copywriter. I created the Fishbowl Blog in June 2010, and I’ve written and edited more than 800 blog posts for it from that point to now. I got to witness some of Fishbowl’s growing pains as it worked to overcome serious challenges at the tail end of the most recent recession. We’ve endured a great deal, and we hope to endure all things as we keep moving toward a brighter future. I am so grateful to be part of a company that honors gratitude as one of its seven primary virtues. Fishbowl’s 7 Non-Negotiables are:
  • Respect
  • Belief
  • Trust
  • Loyalty
  • Commitment
  • Courage
  • Gratitude
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. This has been an amazing year at Fishbowl, and I trust we all have so much to be thankful for. So thank you, and have a wonderful holiday.
