5th Annual Fishbowl Day of Service

July 22, 2013
Has it already been a year since the last Fishbowl Day of Service? That’s incredible to me. Fishbowl Day of Service 2012, Fishbowl Inventory BlogIt seems like just yesterday that Fishbowl closed its doors and my fellow employees and I (along with many of our spouses and children) went to an elementary school in Payson, Utah to help teachers in their classrooms, repair and replace outdoor equipment, and completely reorganize their library system. It was fantastic. Well, it’s that time of year again when Fishbowl gets to show its gratitude for its success by giving back to the local community. We’re pleased to announce our 5th annual Fishbowl Day of Service! This year we will be going to Lehi High School on August 2, 2013. No Fishbowl employee will be in the office that day; we’ll all be out doing a different kind of work than what we normally do. Our service projects will range from outdoor maintenance and painting to helping the band, drama, and athletics departments with a variety of needs. Summer is the perfect time to get everything ready for when the students return. It is such a pleasure to work for a company that is dedicated to not only being successful but to serving those in need. It’s a wonderful feeling to make the world a better place, even if your efforts seem small. Fishbowl might not be the biggest company or have all the resources in the world to help others, but we do our best and we find joy in all the good we are able to do. As a side note, I’d like to point out how awesome it is that in the same week that David K. Williams’ book The 7 Non-Negotiables of Winning debuts in bookstores, he’s going to be out there alongside his employees living the 7 Non-Negotiables by giving service. Now there’s a man who practices what he preaches.
