On Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 Fishbowl will spend the whole day showing its appreciation for the local community by going out and serving an elementary school in Payson, Utah for its fourth annual Day of Service.
Fishbowl employees will provide all sorts of service in classrooms and other areas of Barnett Elementary School. They will organize all the books in the school’s library, attaching barcodes and labels to make them easier to find. The school is starting to provide books and other materials to students based on their individual education levels. This will lead to a more personalized learning experience.
Fishbowl is happy to help make the world a better place in its own little way. In the past three Day of Service events, we’ve helped the Mountainland Head Start preschools in Utah County, Provo House of Hope (a shelter for women and children), and Cherry Creek Elementary School in Springville.
Of course, service isn’t something that Fishbowl only does once a year. We also run the Courage Above Mountains Center to help people gain new software skills, and we frequently assist local college students and Native Americans. Service an important part of our corporate culture.
We’ll be back at our desks bright and early on Monday morning, ready to keep serving our wonderful customers.
